We keep hearing about the wins of different players at the different events that are organized by different poker companies.
There is however an award ceremony that recognizes the efforts of the different online poker companies for the different endeavors they put in every year, which leads to promotions and increases participation in different poker events every year. This year PokerStars won the Poker Operator of the Year award at the EGR operator awards ceremony. The competitors are definitely losing out in this category as this is the third consecutive year that this company won this award. It should not come as any surprise as it is the largest online poker companies in the world and is the undisputed leader in this category.
The EGR Operator awards 2016 were held recently in London on November 28th. Here PokerStars as well as its parent company Amaya Inc were shortlisted in five categories such as Socially Responsible Operator of the Year, Operator of the Year, Casino Operator of the Year and Customer Service Operator of the Year. The Poker Operator of the Year award was won by the PokerStars third time consecutively. When the award was announced, Severin Rasset who is director of operations and innovations of the company stated that the key to their success was that they planned and thought of events and tournaments keeping in mind the needs and interests of players. That is what kept their commitment high and brought about success to them. Unibet also won Operator of the Year alongside and it showcases the numerous events the company has been organizing over the years. Since it has been going solo Unibet has reinvented itself in different ways. It has recently launched the Unibet Poker software in the second version as well as promoting a large Open Main Event this weekend in Romania.
